On windshields, only the tinting installed by the car manufacturer is allowed, as are clear un-tinted frost shields or window stickers which do not impair the driver’s vision. Each Canadian province has its own rules and regulations and violating vehicle equipment laws can get you cited even when visiting other provinces.
