Window tinting prices
The price depends on which windows you tint and which 3M film you pick. These prices are the same at both shops.

“Back windows” means the rear side windows and the back glass. Alberta law doesn’t allow film on the windshield or the front side windows of a vehicle driven on public roads, so read the tint law section below before you book those. The three 3M films we install
All three block UV and cut glare. The difference between them is how much heat they keep out and how they look from outside.
3M Colour Stable
A carbon film that stays the same colour over the years instead of fading to purple. It gives you privacy and glare control for the lowest price.
3M Ceramic IR
A ceramic film that keeps out a lot more heat than carbon film. If your main complaint is a hot cabin in July, this is the film to look at.
3M Crystalline
3M’s top film. It keeps out the most heat while staying light, so it suits windshields and anyone who doesn’t want dark windows.

Alberta tint law
Alberta’s Vehicle Equipment Regulation doesn’t set a darkness percentage the way most provinces do. Section 70 bans any film on the windshield and on the side windows beside and in front of the driver, and that includes clear film.
The rear side windows and the back glass can be as dark as you like, as long as the vehicle has an outside mirror on each side. Mirror-finish reflective film isn’t allowed on any window.
There is a medical exemption, which needs a permit from the province. We install front-window film for show and off-road vehicles, vehicles registered outside Alberta, and permit holders.
How a tint appointment works
- Book a time at either shop by phone or with the quote form below.
- Drop the vehicle off. We clean the glass, cut the film to fit your windows and install it.
- Pick it up, and leave the windows rolled up for a few days while the film dries out.

How much does window tinting cost in Calgary?
With us it starts at $299 for the two front windows in 3M Colour Stable. Tinting every window costs $599 in Colour Stable, $799 in Ceramic IR and $999 in Crystalline. The full price list is at the top of this page.
Which windows can I legally tint in Alberta?
On a vehicle driven on public roads, only the rear side windows and the back glass, and only if you have mirrors on both sides. Those can be any darkness. The windshield and front side windows can’t have film unless you hold a medical permit.
Which 3M film should I choose?
If you mainly want privacy and a darker look, Colour Stable does the job for the least money. If you want the cabin to stay cooler in summer, go with Ceramic IR. If you want the most heat rejection without dark glass, choose Crystalline.
